
AU Jaipur Cyclothon poster unveiled
Senior IAS and IPS Officers, Health Experts and Cycling Advocates Call for Sustainable Mobility and Healthy Living
Jaipur, June 3, 2026: The AU Jaipur Cyclothon 2026 campaign was formally launched on the occasion of World Bicycle Day through a special Talk Show on Sustainable Mobility, Road Safety, Health and Cycling Culture held in Jaipur. The event brought together senior government officials, policy makers, health experts, cyclists and fitness enthusiasts to promote cycling as a healthy, environment-friendly and sustainable mode of transport.
The initiative is being organised by Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha, Jaipur Runners Club and Indian Institute of Event Management and Research (IIEMR) with the support of AU Small Finance Bank and Eternal Hospital, Jaipur.
A key highlight of the event was the official unveiling of the AU Jaipur Cyclothon 2026 poster by distinguished guests including Shri Yogesh Dadhich, IPS, Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic & Administration), Jaipur Police; Shri Rajarshi Raj, IPS, DCP (South), Jaipur Police, Pt. Suresh Mishra, President, Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha, Smt. Renu Singhi, Director, Poornima University and eminent cyclist, Shri Shashi Kiran, IRSME, North Western Railway, Shri Nitesh Tiwari, Senior General Manager, Eternal Hospital, Sudhir Jain Godha, Chairman of the Organising Committee, Mukesh Mishra, Director, IIEMR, Shri Himanshu Saraswat, Regional Head, AU Small Finance Bank, Shri Martand Sharma, Vice President Admin, NAV India, Shri Rajesh Agarwal, Chairman, Cityvibes, Shri Pramod Jain, MD, ARL and other dignitaries present.
Addressing the gathering Shri Yogesh Dadhich, IPS, Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic & Administration), Jaipur Police, highlighted the importance of responsible road behaviour and awareness among motorists and cyclists. He noted that campaigns such as AU Jaipur Cyclothon contribute significantly to creating safer roads and fostering a culture of mutual respect among road users.
Shri Rajarshi Raj, IPS, DCP (South), Jaipur Police, said that cycling not only promotes fitness but also encourages discipline and responsible civic behaviour. He called upon young people to embrace cycling as part of their daily routine and contribute towards a healthier society.
Smt. Renu Singhi, Director, Poornima University and eminent cyclist, shared her experiences as a cyclist and highlighted the numerous physical, mental and environmental benefits associated with cycling. She encouraged women and youth to actively participate in cycling activities and adopt healthier lifestyles.
Highlighting the health perspective, Shri Nitesh Tiwari, Senior General Manager, Eternal Hospital, said that regular physical activity is one of the most effective ways to prevent lifestyle-related diseases. He noted that cycling offers a simple yet powerful solution for improving overall health and well-being.
Pt. Suresh Mishra, President, Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha, said that the AU Jaipur Cyclothon has evolved into a movement that promotes fitness, environmental responsibility and social awareness. He expressed confidence that the campaign would inspire citizens across all age groups to embrace cycling and sustainable living.
Event Committee Chairman Sudhir Jain Godha said that the campaign is designed to create long-term awareness about environmental conservation and healthy lifestyles while strengthening community participation. Event Director Captain Shashi Kiran added that cycling is not merely a sport but a lifestyle choice that contributes to a greener and healthier future.
IIEMR Director Mukesh Mishra informed that the week-long campaign from June 3 to June 7 will feature several activities, including a Mega Plantation Drive on June 5, BIB Expo and Cycling Awards Ceremony on June 6, culminating in the grand AU Jaipur Cyclothon 2026 on June 7. He said that thousands of cyclists, fitness enthusiasts, students and citizens are expected to participate in the flagship event.
The engaging discussion was moderated by renowned radio personality RJ Mohit, who facilitated an interactive exchange of ideas among the panelists and audience members. The programme concluded with a collective pledge to promote cycling culture, environmental conservation, road safety and healthy living, reinforcing the vision of making Jaipur a cleaner, greener and more active city.
