
New Delhi, Divya rasthra:/ rasthra‘Pedal with Purpose’, a unique 5km cycling rally to celebrate World Bicycle Day organised by Heartfulness Noida in collaboration with Crowne Plaza, Greater Noida, concluded successfully today. About 100 participants, including 47 school children from Chhaprauli village (Noida), showed an enthusiastic turn-out in the rally. Mr. Anil Kumar, Senior Manager at the Noida Authority graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Executives from Crowne plaza, Radio 90.4 FM Salam, Sahaj School and village heads, local School Principals of Chhaprauli, and the event sponsors were the Guests of Honour. Spreading environmental awareness and promoting community participation were the underscoring drivers of the event. Aligned with the Swachcha Chaprauli Mangrauli Village Abhiyan, this first edition of Pedal with Purpose intended to help one grow more sensitive to the environment, health, sustainability, and collective community work. The cycling rally, began at 6.30am from the Heartfulness Meditation Centre in Sector 167, Chhaprauli village, and was followed by a relaxing and rejuvenating group meditation session at 9am.
Sharing his thoughts on the success of ‘Pedal with Purpose’ initiative, Mr. Anil Kumar, Senior Manager, Noida Authority said, “We are very pleased to see the children coming forward to spread awareness on environmental responsibility by participating in Pedal with Purpose cycling event. Cycling is not only good for health but is also great for the environment and it is inspiring that children are spreading the message which is also aligned with the Swachcha Chaprauli Mangrauli Village Abhiyan.”
Participants were given medals of participation and completion of the rally acknowledging their enthusiastic support for the cause. The event motivated the students to do build community spirit and gather It will experience in the clean, green Swachcha Chhaprauli Mangrauli Village Abhiyan as well.
The Swachcha Chhaprauli Mangrauli Village Abhiyan is a grassroots initiative originating from Heartfulness Noida Centre. The initiative is a community-driven movement focused on cleanliness, environmental awareness, women’s empowerment, youth participation, and holistic rural development. Villagers, youth, volunteers, and local communities collectively work towards building cleaner surroundings, promoting hygiene awareness, conducting plantation drives, practising responsible waste management, and fostering value-based community living.
The sponsors for the event were Crowne Plaza (refreshments for all riders), MyBharat (caps for all riders), Salam Namaste (podcast coverage), and Sahaj International Academy (cycle rentals). In addition to the residents of Noida, Heartfulness Abhyasis will also be part of the event.
The campaign also helped nurture inner cleanliness through meditation, human values, and compassionate living, aligning with the broader Heartfulness vision of individual and societal transformation.
