In a refreshing departure from conventional Mother’s Day celebrations, Ryan Edunation School, Spon Road Branch, Jaipur organized a large scale Mother’s Day Sports Evening that brought nearly 500 mothers together for an evening of nostalgia, recreation and emotional bonding.
Held on May 8 from 6 PM onwards, the event transformed the school campus into a lively playground where mothers enthusiastically participated in traditional games such as Sitoliya, Kho-Kho, Tug of War and Bomb in the City. Designed around the idea of reconnecting parents with their childhood experiences, the programme witnessed participants laughing, cheering and competing with remarkable energy and involvement.
The event created several emotional moments as mothers revisited games many had not played for decades. One participant became emotional after playing Sitoliya and shared that she was reliving a part of her childhood after nearly 20 years. Children present at the venue were equally excited, many watching their mothers actively compete, run and win medals for the first time.
The evening also featured medal ceremonies, team activities and interactive segments, creating a strong sense of community participation. According to the school administration, the response from parents remained overwhelmingly positive, with hundreds of appreciation messages received following the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr.Behrul Islam, Principal, Ryan Edunation School, said, “The objective was to create meaningful engagement beyond academics and offer parents an experience that they would genuinely remember. The enthusiasm and emotional connection witnessed during the event reflected the importance of such initiatives in strengthening the bond between schools and families.”
The school management stated that Ryan Edunation School will continue to organise experiential and community-driven activities that promote emotional well-being, participation and holistic engagement beyond the classroom environment.
