
Pune, Divya rasthra//: MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) today inaugurated its state-of-the-art iOS Development Centre at the hands of Dr. Rahul V. Karad, Executive President, MIT-WPU. The iOS Development centre is a first-of-its-kind initiative aimed at empowering students with future-ready skills in mobile application development, design thinking, and innovation.
The iOS Student Developer Program will be offered to third-year B.Tech Computer Engineering students from the Department of Computer Engineering & Technology. The two-semester program also includes a four-week industry internship, providing students with invaluable exposure to real-world practices. The initiative is designed to equip students with hands-on expertise in iOS app development, while encouraging participation in global innovation platforms such as Apple’s annual Swift Student Challenge program.
Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. Rahul V Karad said “At MIT-WPU, we are committed to fostering an ecosystem that nurtures innovation and technological excellence. The establishment of the iOS Development Centre is a significant step towards equipping our students with the skills and experiences necessary to thrive in the rapidly evolving digital world. Through this program, we are creating pathways for our students to become leaders in mobile technology and entrepreneurship”
The program enables access to a world-class learning facility with Apple products like iMacs, MacBooks, iPhones, iPad and Apple Watch, learning resources from Apple and Infosys and trained faculty. Highlighting its multidisciplinary approach, the program also fosters collaboration between technology, business, and design enabling students to not only become skilled developers but also innovative problem solver and entrepreneurs.
