Jaipur, Divya rasthra:/ In a momentous highlight of the Yuva Sangam Phase VI programme, delegates from Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Dharwad, Karnataka, were received by the Hon’ble Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, at Lok Bhawan, Jaipur. The interactive session was held under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and was facilitated by MNIT Jaipur as the Host Higher Education Institution for Rajasthan under Yuva Sangam Phase VI.
The Governor warmly welcomed the young delegates and engaged them in a rich and inspiring dialogue on India’s civilisational heritage, cultural identity, and the spirit of national integration. He spoke of the vast geographical expanse of ancient India and its intellectual and cultural eminence — noting that India was once home to the greatest number of universities in the world. He also shared with the delegates the historical and geographical significance of Rajasthan, including its ancient forts, the legacy of Bappa Rawal, and the historic achievement of bringing Sardar Sarovar-Narmada waters to the state.
Speaking on the New Education Policy, the Governor emphasised the importance of connecting India’s youth with their ancient heritage and instilling in them a sense of pride and purpose as they lead the nation forward. He urged the young delegates to be ambassadors of unity, reminding them that India’s culture and traditions have always been among the finest in the world — and that it is the responsibility of today’s youth to restore and reinforce that greatness.
The interaction was received with great enthusiasm by the Karnataka delegates and stands as one of the most inspiring moments of their week-long visit to Rajasthan under the Yuva Sangam Phase VI programme hosted by MNIT Jaipur.
