Jaipur, June, 2024.

Gautam Solar, a renowned and trusted name in India’s solar power sector, has taken a significant step forward in supporting solar developers, EPC companies and farmers with the release of a comprehensive white paper designed to help them meet the stringent criteria of the PM-KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri KisanUrja Suraksha evamUtthaanMahabhiyan) scheme. In Gautam Solar Tech Workshop and Press Conference held in Jaipur, Gautam Solar also proudly inaugurated its new state-of-the-art warehouse, further cementing its commitment to the growth of solar energy adoption in India.

The PM-KUSUM scheme, launched by the Government of India, seeks to encourage the use of solar energy among farmers. Gautam Solar’s white paper provides essential insights and actionable guidance on achieving the mandated minimum Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) of 19% over the 25-year lifespan of solar power plants, a critical requirement for the PM-KUSUM scheme. The document is a vital resource for industry stakeholders, offering practical implementation strategies and a theoretical case study to ensure compliance and sustainable performance.

Key highlights of the white paper include:

CUF Achievement: Detailed guidance on meeting the CUF requirements, focusing on the selection of appropriate solar panels, which is crucial for the financial viability and operational efficiency of solar power plants under the PM-KUSUM scheme.

Factors Impacting CUF: An in-depth analysis of factors such as solar irradiance and system losses including shading, dust accumulation, wiring inefficiencies, inverter losses, array mismatches, and temperature-related losses.

High-Efficiency Panels: Emphasis on the use of high-efficiency panels with low degradation rates, ensuring consistent performance over time. The document explains the advantages of Mono PERC Solar Panels over Polycrystalline options.

Theoretical Case Study: A case study based on current data, projections and industry standards. This approach uses existing performance metrics and degradation rates to model the potential performance and CUF of solar power plant over 25 years.

Mr. Gautam Mohanka, CEO of Gautam Solar, remarked, “Gautam Solar is dedicated to leading the way in sustainability and reducing carbon footprints. Our commitment to sustainability and innovation drives us to create solutions that meet regulatory requirements and contribute to a greener future. This white paper is a thorough guide designed to empower solar developers and EPC companies to meet the PM-KUSUM scheme’s goals, ultimately supporting our farmers and protecting our planet.”

In addition to the release of the white paper, Gautam Solar also announced the inauguration of its new warehouse in Chimanpura in Jaipur District. The warehouse, situated just 30 minutes away from Jaipur Junction and well-connected by road to other major cities in Rajasthan like Jodhpur, Bikaner etc. will help Gautam Solar ensure faster delivery of Solar Panels across the state. The warehouse features state-of-the-art facilities for ensuring prompt and accurate service.

The combined efforts of releasing the white paper and inaugurating the new warehouse underscore Gautam Solar’s unwavering commitment to advancing solar energy solutions in Rajasthan, hence contributing to the clean energy and net-zero goals in India.
