Jaipur : Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools (BBFS), one of India’s largest and most-rated football development programs, will conduct scouting trials in Jaipur to identify talented young student-athletes for the BBFS Residential Academy, the organisation’s flagship high-performance football training and academic curriculum in association with reputed boarding schools across India. The trials will take place on Sunday, 21st December 2025, at University of Rajasthan, with participants required to report at 9:30 AM. Footballers born between 2010 and 2015 are eligible to participate.
Participants attending the trials must carry a valid government identity card for verification. They are required to report in full football attire, including jerseys, shorts, football boots and shin guards, which are mandatory for participation. Athletes should also bring a personal hydration pack or water bottle, as the trial session will include high-intensity activities. Registrations can be completed online through the Enjogo app, BBFS’s official sports learning and participation platform.
Expressing his thoughts on the initiative, Bhaichung Bhutia, Co-founder of BBFS and one of India’s most celebrated football icons, said,“These trials are a tremendous opportunity for young players who dream of pursuing professional football without compromising on their academic journey. Our aim is to identify committed student-athletes and provide them with the environment, coaching and culture they need to learn, train, and excel. The BBFS Residential Academy gives talented youngsters a chance to grow holistically and prepare for higher levels of the sport.”
Over the years, BBFS has built a structured scouting network comprising senior licensed coaches who cover major regions across India where the talent pipeline is strong. This large-scale talent hunt ensures that aspiring players have the opportunity to showcase their potential at the national stage.
The BBFS Residential Academy offers an integrated football-and-academics model designed to support long-term player development. Created to mirror the standards of top global academies, the program combines elite football training with formal schooling, supervised by experienced educators and coordinators. Athletes follow a year-round schedule that includes technical and tactical training, strength and conditioning, nutrition planning and participation in competitive tournaments at state and national levels. Each player is guided through an Individual Development Plan (IDP) tailored to their strengths, gaps and long-term goals, supported by regular mentoring sessions that focus on performance, discipline and personal growth. This structured environment fosters discipline, resilience, teamwork and leadership, enabling young footballers to grow holistically.
The upcoming trials provide student-athletes with the chance to present their abilities directly in front of BBFS’s senior residential academy coaches, who evaluate talent across technical, physical, tactical, and psychological parameters. Through structured drills and match-play assessments, players will be able to benchmark themselves against top performers in their age categories. Students participating in the trials will have the opportunity to join the BBFS Residential Academy’s professional pathway, a platform that supports future careers in football through avenues such as professional clubs, national age-group teams and university programs.
The trials come at a time when football in India is expanding rapidly, with more structured pathways emerging for young players. BBFS continues to play a central role in shaping this landscape by training thousands of footballers, upskilling coaches and offering long-term development opportunities through its residential and non-residential programs. The organisation remains committed to providing student-athletes with a strong foundation that supports both sporting excellence and academic growth.
