
New Delhi, Divya rasthra/: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has signed an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army to introduce two specially designed credit cards, PNB LUXURA and PNB Parakram, for Army personnel. The initiative aims to provide tailored financial and lifestyle benefits to serving officers, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), and Other Ranks (OR).
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Indian Army and PNB, including Lt. Gen. Viresh Pratap Singh Kaushik, Lt. Gen. Rajeev Puri, and PNB Managing Director and CEO Shri Ashok Chandra. The agreement was signed by Maj. Gen. V.K. Purohit on behalf of the Indian Army and Shri Deepak Kumar, General Manager, Public Relations & Credit Card Division, on behalf of PNB at the Army Headquarters in Delhi.
Under the partnership, PNB will offer the PNB LUXURA Metal Credit Card for Army officers and the PNB Parakram Credit Card for JCOs and OR personnel. The cards come with a range of benefits, including 3% cashback on CSD purchases, complimentary domestic and international airport lounge access, zero forex mark-up, movie ticket offers, complimentary golf lessons, and other lifestyle rewards. PNB stated that the PNB Parakram Credit Card also features a biodegradable design, reflecting the bank’s commitment to sustainable and responsible innovation.
Speaking on the occasion, PNB MD & CEO Ashok Chandra said the bank shares a long-standing relationship with the Indian Armed Forces and that the new cards have been designed to meet the evolving financial and lifestyle needs of Army personnel.
The partnership further strengthens PNB’s association with the Armed Forces and underscores its commitment to providing value-driven financial solutions for the Army community.
