Nippon Paint makes a bold statement to expand the market

Nippon Paint, Asia Pacific’s No. 1 paint company by revenue today unveiled its latest innovation – Paint Protection Films in New Delhi. Under the n-SHIELD brand, Nippon Paint aims to develop and expand the market for paint protection films and other films in India and other markets around the world.

Vehicle paint protection is a growing need of the market which is highly unorganized today. Nippon Paint has been working on developing its film-based products for the past 4 years and is now uniquely positioned to offer both paint as well as paint protection films to its customers, through its large network of sales & technical teams, technology experts, distributors, car dealer partners and detailing centre associates.

Nippon Paint India also announced the start of its association with the India Champions cricket team, together with its brand launch. This partnership brings together a trusted innovation led Japanese brand and a legendary cricket team in India, reflecting shared values of protection, performance and durability – qualities that are as crucial on the field as they are in protecting automotive surfaces.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharad Malhotra, Director of Nippon Paint India, said “At Nippon Paint, when we decided to enter films, we leveraged our paint experience to develop the best film products. Nippon Paint is launching the n-SHIELD brand in several countries, with India being the second launch after Thailand. The n-SHIELD portfolio comes together with a full range of ceramic coatings and detailing products that cover the entire car care range. Nippon Paint is also launching a host of other films including the headlamp film for which it has already received OEM endorsements.

New Era of Automotive Surface Protection- Paint Protection Films (PPF) from Nippon Paint are developed and tested to provide extreme UV resistance, gloss retention and enhanced protection from rock chips, debris and unexpected impacts. Films come in gloss, matt and coloured film variants. Nippon Paint also provides a global e-warranty system for films and is equipping its application partners with the latest precision cutting software and tools. This is being done to ensure that car owners, who are increasingly interested in Paint Protection Films and other products, get flawless, long-lasting finish and protection on their cars.

Nippon Paint is in the process of adding distributors across India and entering partnerships with renowned car dealers and car detailing centres to provide holistic, world class PPF and detailing services. Further, the company is also planning to set up n-SHIELD studios through its franchise partners to enhance customer experience and build a strong connection with the brand.
