Adaptive scooters provided at zero cost to support independent mobility
Churu, Divya rasthra*Honda India Foundation (HIF), the CSR arm for all Honda group of companies in India, today handed over specially fitted mobility assist Honda Activa to ex-servicemen in Churu, Rajasthan. The initiative aims to support differently abled veterans by enabling safe and independent mobility, while recognising their service to the nation.
The Honda Activa110 scooters are equipped with adaptive modifications designed to support riders with mobility challenges, allowing them to manage daily travel needs with greater comfort and confidence. The initiative is intended to help ex-servicemen regain independence in everyday activities, including commuting to work, running personal errands, and participating more actively in community life.
The handover ceremony took place in the presence of Sh. Bhajan Lal Sharma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan and Sh. Vishal Saxena, Operating Officer, Production Planning & Control, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India along with representatives from Honda India Foundation and Indian Army who are working closely to support the well-being of ex-servicemen in the region.
Through this effort, HIF seeks to acknowledge the contribution of veterans and extend support that addresses practical mobility requirements after their years of service. Improved mobility not only supports the veterans themselves but also reduces dependency on family members, offering emotional reassurance and strengthening household confidence.
The mobility-assist 16 Honda Activa scooters have been provided at zero cost to the beneficiaries. By enabling easier and safer mobility, the initiative supports long-term social inclusion and improves access to opportunities and services for differently abled veterans. Initiatives like these are part of HIF’s ongoing efforts to support community welfare and promote inclusive mobility across India.
