Snapchat is deepening its support for India’s creator ecosystem by bringing the Snapchat Creator Connect initiative to the culturally rich city of Jaipur, as part of its broader push to grow in Rajasthan. Home to a highly engaged creative community, this on-ground event aims to equip creators with the resources, insights, and opportunities they need to build, monetize, and scale their creative journeys.
Event highlights:
Snapchat’s Creator Connect on September 24th, brought together over 80 local creators. Snapchat hosted a Snap School session, an education and mentorship program designed to help emerging talent refine their storytelling skills and leverage Snapchat’s innovative tools for growth. The platform also spotlighted content enablement programs like Savvy on Snap, which provides customized consulting support to help partners deliver culture-driven experiences to their communities. Strengthening monetization opportunities, Snapchat introduced creators to its global revenue share and rewards programs, designed to help them scale their digital journeys while building sustainable careers. These initiatives are supported by Snap’s dedicated local Partnerships team, which works closely with creators across India to educate, engage, and expand their presence on the platform.
The event also saw expert-led discussions and AR-powered experiences designed to inspire and educate content creators and Snap Stars. Creators explored immersive lenses through the AR Mirror and experienced next-gen innovations with Snap’s 5th Gen AR Specs.
Saket Jha Saurabh, Director & Head of AR & Content Partnerships, Snap Inc. shared, “Rajasthan, with its rich heritage and diverse content ecosystem, holds tremendous creative potential. Through initiatives like Snapchat Creator Connect and our Snap School programs, we are equipping young storytellers with the tools, insights, and opportunities to thrive. At Snapchat, we believe authentic storytelling is at the heart of what today’s new-age creators seek and that’s why they are drawn to our platform. With over 250 million monthly active users in India and 90% of daily users aged 13–34 Snapchat is truly at the center of young India. In fact, 80% of Snapchatters in Jaipur, come to the platform to use Lenses to share greetings and celebrate festivals with their friends and family, a testament to the way Snapchat is woven into cultural expression. Our focus is to amplify local creators, culture, and stories through Snapchat’s unique capabilities and strategic partnerships, helping them build meaningful connections with audiences while accelerating the growth of the regional creator ecosystem.”
Jaipur: A Key Market for Snapchat
The event marks a key milestone in the platform’s rapid growth in India and rising excitement among Gen Z creators. With 80%[1] of local Jaipur Snapchatters using Lenses to celebrate special moments, the city’s culture makes it an ideal hub for AR innovation and creator-driven growth.
“It is so exciting to see Snapchat come to Rajasthan, especially here in Jaipur, the city definitely turned yellow. The event was enriching, my fellow creator friends and I learned so much about the platform and the opportunities it offers for monetisation. What I love most about Snapchat is that it lets me create content that feels true to who I am. I can be myself, share stories that really resonate with me, and even get rewarded for it, that’s the best part.” Snap Star Yashi Tank
Committed to fostering a diverse content ecosystem, Snapchat continues to invest in India’s creators, empowering them to share their passions, engage audiences, and build sustainable careers on a platform that celebrates authenticity and creativity.
