
Jaipur: To mark the birthday of Hon’ble Chancellor, Dr Aseem Chauhan, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell of Amity University Rajasthan, in association with Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad and HDFC Bank, proudly organized a Mega Blood Donation Drive- Rakhtdaan Amrit Mahotsav 2.0. This impactful event saw enthusiastic participation from the university community, contributing to a noble cause that highlights the spirit of giving and solidarity.
The drive commenced with a warm welcome extended by Dr. Manoj Kumar, NSS Coordinator, and Dr. Pallavi Mishra, Program Officer to the medical team and generous blood donors. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Amit Jain, commended the efforts of all volunteers and urged attendees to embrace the opportunity to contribute to this essential cause. His words inspired many to take part and make a difference. Emphasizing the significance of blood donation, Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. G.K. Aseri, highlighted its vital role in saving lives.
The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests including Dr. Nitin Bhardwaj, Registrar Brig. GS Rathore, Mr. S.S. Bhal, Prof. S.L. Kothari, Brig. G.S.Rathore (OSD), Prof. Rahul Tripathi, Mr. Mahendra Singh, Col. Prahalad Singh, Mr. Vivek Jain visited the blood donation camp, congratulating the donors and expressing their gratitude to the dedicated medical team from Santokaba Durlabji Memorial Hospital.
The drive became a success with collective donation of blood resulting in an impressive 225 units of blood.
The medical team led by Mr. Vinod Sharma from the SDMH Blood Bank in Jaipur, meticulously ensured the medical fitness of all donors before the collection process. The event also received valuable support from HDFC Bank, with contributions from Mr.Kalyan Singh Rathore, Senior Officer; Ms. Shalini Mathur, Senior Manager, Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad members including Praveen Bothra, Rajat Sancheti, Bhavesh Sancheti, Srikant Borad enhanced the collaborative spirit of the initiative.
This Blood Donation Drive not only demonstrated the commitment of Amity University Rajasthan to social responsibility but also reinforced the importance of community engagement in healthcare.
