To celebrate the richness and vibrancy of Rajasthani culture, Dharav High School, Ajmer Road, is launching Dharav Utsav, a cultural festival that brings together art, tradition and contemporary expression under the vision of Ms. Devyani Jaipuria. Scheduled for November 21–22, on the school’s sprawling campus in Jaipur, the festival goes beyond performances and displays. It will be a celebration of the shared heritage of Rajasthan, a platform that honors and preserves local culture. The event will also feature renowned singers, poets, and entrepreneurs.
Dharav High School is part of RJ Corp, a nearly three-decade-old diversified conglomerate, having interests in education, F&B, healthcare, and retail sectors. Devyani Jaipuria, the daughter of RJ Corp founder Ravi Jaipuria, leads the company’s education sector in India.
Speaking about the upcoming celebration, Devyani Jaipuria, Chairperson of Dharav High School, stated, “Rajasthan is among the most culturally rich and diverse states in India, with a tradition dating back centuries. The Dharav Utsav is envisioned as a celebration of the region’s rich cultural tapestry. Visitors will be treated to goods made by local artisans, local cuisine, and will participate in local customs. It’ll also serve as a place where local talent will garner national and international attention.”
The organisers invite craftsmen, artisans, small businesses and food vendors to open stalls at the event. The objective is to offer a platform for showcasing local skills and entrepreneurship while supporting community upliftment. All proceeds from the event will go towards RJ Corp’s CSR initiatives: Shiksha Kendra and Pravah Skill Development Centre. Together, these initiatives have educated and trained thousands of underprivileged children. The organisers also extend an invitation to other schools, including faculty and students, to visit Dharav Utsav.
Eminent authors will be in attendance with a literary festival scheduled, followed by a musical session.
In the coming years, Dharav Utsav aims to grow as a leading cultural platform, each edition enhancing its legacy and community heritage.
